2 more weeks!

Only 2 more weeks until we leave for China! We received a precious email last week from Mason's foster mother, and we hope to meet with her when we are in Chongqing. We were put in contact with her through a miraculous series of events. She is such an important part of his past, and we know that she will be so helpful to us as he transitions into our family.

I am trying hard not to go into "panic" mode as we get closer to travel. This trip will be very different from the last 2 because we are not taking our other children with us. One wonderful thing about having older children is that you have a team of babysitters when you go somewhere! Michael, Matthew, and Missy will do a wonderful job taking care of the little girls and each other. Thank you to all of our family and friends who are stepping in to help with Molly and Madelyn. We are blessed!

We have travel dates!

After a loooong wait for our Letter of Acceptance, travel approval, and consulate date in Guangzhou, we have definite travel dates to China! We will leave on May 5th and get Mason on May 7th. Our consulate date is May 17th, and we will fly home on the 19th. I will be in China for Mother's Day! We have emailed Mason's foster parents and hope to meet them while we are in Chongqing. Mason has lived with this precious couple for 5 years, and we are praying that they will have a peace about his adoption.

I am going to buy our airline tickets tomorrow! I always feel so much better when I can hold those tickets in my hands. We are really going to China!
